Extremist suspect upends French presidential race 
French President Nicolas Sarkozy pays homage at a coffin during a ceremony for the three soldiers killed by a suspect an Interior Ministry official identified as Mohammad Merah, claiming al-Qaida links, and also suspected in the killings of three Jewish children and a rabbi, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Montauban, southwestern France.
