Al-Qaida in Yemen says it frees captured soldiers

Al-Qaida in Yemen says it frees captured soldiersFILE - This undated file photo released by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, purports to show Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri. When a drone strike killed one of the leaders of al-Qaida's affiliate in Yemen last year, U.S. intelligence officials thought they also had wiped out the terrorist group’s top bomb maker. Soon it became apparent that al-Asiri, the brains behind sophisticated bombs that have been used in attempts to attack the U.S., was still alive. A hunted al-Asiri went underground, knowing the U.S. was after him, particularly after the U.S. killed Anwar al-Awlaki, one of the Yemen group's top leaders. But U.S. counterterrorism officials say he has resurfaced. They worry he might be at work doing what he does best: building bombs that could defeat airline security, The Associated Press has learned. Sudan: Arrested foreigners have military history

Sudan: Arrested foreigners have military historyFILE - In this Wednesday, March 4, 2009 file photo, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir attends a graduation ceremony at an air force academy near Khartoum, Sudan. Former Liberian President Charles Taylor is part of a long parade of leaders guilty or accused of similar, and in some cases far more appalling, crimes in modern history. Here is what happened to some: Omar al-Bashir: the ICC accused the Sudanese president of orchestrating genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur and issued an arrest warrant for him. However, he remains free in Sudan, which is locked in hostilities with South Sudan. The U.N. estimates 300,000 people died and 2.7 million were displaced in the Darfur conflict. (Your voice a key element in communications)

In these days I have started to think and analyze the impact of voice in the communication. Almost a month ago I was listening to the radio a pizza commercial which I considered absurd, and had much to do with the inflection of  the voice of the Narrator  who also changed the intonation  somewhat more slowly to emphasize the commercial. Unfortunately this campaign from Pizza Company lasted almost three weeks and the commercial could be heard continuously at all times on all radio stations.  Thank God we finally rested and the absurd campaign ended. At least in my opinion it did not work; it did not encourage me  to go and buy their pizza or any other brand.
But now comes the curios part of the story………just a few days ago I am listening to an insurance commercial, or it may have been  a mobile phone ad, and I heard  the voice of the same individual again … And once again the feeling of disgust, invaded my senses because it was that voice that  made me uncomfortable  for three weeks  and I could not, or would not listen to the commercial, it did not catch  my attention or what he said,  I simply blocked  my mind and continued driving.
Several days later, once again I was listening to another insurance or finance  commercial on the radio  and again  began to revive this annoyance, that  same tone of voice, it was the signal that identifies him, it has impacted me so much it disgusts me. I admit, I do not know the individual, or wish him nothing wrong. But if he makes a living doing radio commercials, he won’t sell me a thing. His voice to me is already a turn off.  He can delete me from the list of followers. Anything that he tries to promote I refuse to listen. And that happened because he lent himself to do that absurd commercial.
In life, especially in the radio, many anchors also do radio commercials to add something extra to their wages. Radio is not a well paid endeavor. But they recognize what can cost  them if they are associated to a product, to a political party, or a lawyer who does not work on the right side of the law… they think and choose which commercials or  businesses  to do and which not to do. The poor heroes who make a living on radio ads, who are in the background, of which we will never know their names, these sometimes have no choice but to comply with what is required as this is their only livelihood.
I admit that should have reflected my annoyance to the advertising company that made the absurd commercial, but returning to the starting point, it was the voice that has caused this chain reaction that today I  cannot stand hearing the individual  in a commercial anywhere.
So if there is something to be learned from all this, it is in daily life we  say things, to family, friends and strangers… and we are judged  each time by the tone of our voice  which may disturb someone or have a perdurable impact …
