Summary of Events Israeli warplanes violated the Syrian airspace and struck a scientific research center in the village of Jamraya near Damascus, leaving two people dead and five others injured, Syrian state TV reported today citing the army’s general command. Regional reports said that Israel carried out airstrikes on a Syrian military convoy near the border with Lebanon, Israeli sources suggested the weapons convoy was on its way to Hizollah in Lebanon when it was hit near the Bekaa district east of Lebanon. Meanwhile, rebel fighters said they fired mortars and rockets into the same military scientific research facility which the regime claimed to have been attacked by Israeli warplanes. The village of Jamraya is located 15km north-west of Damascus and only 7.5km away from the Syrian military headquarters near the Omayyad square. As the regime army failed to repel the Israeli airstrikes, it continued to bombard residential neighbourhoods in the rebels-held areas inside Syria, shelling as many as 374 locations across the country, 13 of which were pounded with warplanes using cluster, phosphorous, thermboaric and explosive bombs, causing extensive material damage and leaving dozens of people dead and wounded. Today’s death toll reached more than 162. Regime forces and loyalist militiamen killed at least 131 people, including eight children, eight women and 41 rebel fighters, whereas the rebels killed more than 31 soldiers and militiamen. More than 24 people were reported dead in Aleppo, seven of whom were pulled out from the river of Queiq to be added to the 101 others pulled out yesterday in the neighborhood of Bustan Qaser. One of the bodies was still bleeding in an indication that it was executed and dumped in the river today. Meanwhile, nine more civilians were killed and many others were injured due to the heavy artillery shelling in the neighborhood of Tariq al-Bab. Regime forces killed 44 people in Damascus and its suburbs, including 15 rebel fighters which were killed during clashes that erupted in the towns of Daraya and Irbin. Dozens more were killed and injured as a result of the indiscriminate shelling in the neighborhoods of Jobar and Qadam as well as in the towns of Harran Awamid and Nabek. Pro-regime militia executed five civilians in the village of Tasnin in the Homs suburb of Rastan. Some of the victims were slashed with knives and others were shot from close range. Their bodies were then dumped in the Assi River. Regime shelling killed three people in the village of Deir al-Foul in Homs and three more in the village of Sholein in the suburb of Idlib. Donors at the International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria held in Kuwait City today pledged more than $1.5 billion in aid for Syrians affected by the 22-month conflict. Some $900 million pledged by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates alone. UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon called for urgent financial aid and said more remained to be done. The conference came in response to the exacerbating humanitarian crisis in Syria where more than four million Syrians are internally displaced while more than 750,000 take refuge in the neighboring countries. The rebels launched a major offensive throughout Damascus and its suburbs in order to support the rebels in the town of Daraya where regime forces reportedly seized big parts of it. The rebels said they fired more than 100 mortar shells into the premises of the Military Vehicles Department in the town of Harasta causing extensive material damage and leaving a number of regime soldiers dead and wounded. They also attacked several military checkpoints along the Mutahaliq al-Janoubi road and pounded Damascus Airport with rocket launchers. The rebels shot down two fighter jets in the Hama suburbs of Karnaz and Kafrnbouda and hit another while taking off from the Kuwayres airbase in the suburb of Aleppo. In Idlib, the rebels took over the Military Housing Camp in the town of Binnish and stormed a military checkpoint in the town of al-Nerab near the Shabiba Military Camp which they also bombarded with الموقع وإصابة خمسة آخرين حسب البيان، في حين أفادت مصادر إسرائيلية ودولية أن الغارات الإسرائيلية استهدفت رتلاً عسكرياً سورياً يحمل أسلحة تحتوي على صواريخ مضادة للطيران كانت في طريقها إلى حزب الله في لبنان وفي تلك الأثناء، أعلن الجيش الحر عن عملية عسكرية بريف دمشق قام خلالها بقصف موقع البحوث العلمية نفسه الذي قال النظام أنه قُصف من قبل المقاتلات الإسرائيلية، علماً أن قرية جمرايا لا تبعد سوى 7.5 كم عن ساحة الأموين القريبة من مقر هيئة الأركان العامة وبينما فشلت قوات النظام في صد الهجوم الإسرائيلي على الأراضي السورية، واصلت قصفها العشوائي على المناطق السكنية في مختلف أنحاء البلاد، لتصل قذائفها أكثر من 374 منطقة، بينها 13 منطقة قصفت بالطيران الحربي الذي استخدم القنابل العنقودية والفوسفورية والفراغية والبراميل المتفجرة، مخلفاً دماراً كبيراً وعشرات الشهداء والجرحى من السوريين ووصلت الحصيلة العامة لضحايا اليوم إلى 162 قتيلاً، بينهم 131 شهيداً قضوا بنيران قوات النظام وميلشياته الموالية، منهم ثمانية أطفال وثمان نساء، في حين سقط 41 شهيداً في صفوف الثوار وما يقارب 31 قتيلاً في صفوف قوات وميلشيات النظام أثناء الاشتباكات ففي حلب، سقط اليوم أكثر من 24 شهيداً، بينهم سبعة أشخاص إضافيين تم التقاطهم من نهر قويق في حي بستان القصر ليضافوا إلى ال 101 جثة التي تم التقاطها من النهر ذاته يوم أمس، ومن الجديد بالذكر أن من بين الجثث السبع هذا شخص تم إعدامه اليوم حيث كان الدم ينزف من رأسه لحظة التقاطه، وفي تلك الأثناء، سقط أكثر من تسعة شهداء وعدد كبير من الجرحى جراء القصف المدفعي العنيف على حي طريف الباب وفي دمشق وريفها، قتلت قوات النظام 44 مواطناً، بينهم 15 مقاتلاً من كتائب الثوار سقطوا خلال الاشتباكات في مدن داريا وعربين، في حين سقط العشرات من الشهداء والجرحى جراء القصف العشوائي على أحياء جوبر والقدم وبلدة حران العواميد ومدينة النبك وارتكبت ميلشيات النظام مجزرة راح ضحيتها خمسة مدنيين أعدموا ذبحاً بالسكاكين ورمياً بالرصاص ومن ثم رميت جثثهم في نهر العاصي في قرية تسنين التابعة لمدينة الرستن بريف محافظة حمص، كما أسفر القصف العشوائي عن سقوط ثلاثة شهداء في قرية دير الفول بريف حمص، وثلاثة آخرون في قرية شولين بريف إدلب تعهد مؤتمر المانحين لدعم الشعب السوري الذي عقد في الكويت اليوم بمشاركة نحو ستين دولة، بأكثر من 1.5 مليار دولار كمساعدات إنسانية للنازحين السوريين داخل سورية واللاجئين في البلدان المجاورة، وقدمت كلًاً من السعودية والإمارات والكويت 900 مليون دولار وحدها، ويأتي هذا المؤتمر استجابة للأزمة الإنسانية المتفاقمة في سورية، حيث تجاوز عدد النازحين داخل البلاد أكثر من أربعة ملايين شخص فيما قالت الأمم المتحدة أن عدد اللاجئين السوريين في كل من لبنان وتركيا والأردن ومصر والعراق تجاوز 750 ألفاً، ومن المتوقع أن يرتفع هذا العدد إلى المليون في حلول شهر حزيران/يونيو المقبل ووسط اشتداد الحملة العسكرية التي يشنها جيش النظام على مدينة داريا بريف دمشق، أعلن الجيش الحر اليوم بدء معركة ربيع المجاهدين للسيطرة على إدارة المركبات بالقرب من مدينة حرستا، حيث وقاموا بقصفها بأكثر من 100 قذيفة هاون أسفرت عن أضرار جسيمة في مبانيها وسقوط عدد من القتلى والجرحى في صفوف قوات النظام، كما تمت مهاجمة العديد من الحواجز المنتشرة على طول طريق المتحلق الجنوبي تزامناً مع قصف مطار دمشق الدولي براجمات الصواريخ وأعلن الثوار إسقاطهم لطائرتين حربيتين بريف حماة، الأولى في بلدة كرناز والثانية في بلدة كفرنبودة، وقاموا بإعطاب طائرة أخرى أثناء إقلاعها من مطار كويرس بريف حلب، أما في ريف إدلب، سيطر الثوار على معسكر الإسكان العسكري في بلدة بنش وعلى وحاجز الكازية العسكرية الواقعة غرب بلدة النيرب Summary of Events The bodies of at least 101 young men and boys were pulled out from the Quweiq River in the rebels-held neighborhood of Bustan al-Qasr in Aleppo city. The bodies were executed with a single gunshot to the head while their hands were bound. The youngest among the victims is a 12 year old boy. Families from different parts of the city rushed into the scene in order to identify the bodies. The victims were generally identified as ex-detainees and others who have gone missing while crossing regime-held zones. Regime forces also executed 14 people in the neighborhoods of Asaly and Qabun in Damascus and near the provincial towns of Daraya and Moadamiyat al-Sham. They executed and burnt seven more civilians in the Daraa suburb of Nawa. Regime forces stepped up their attacks on opposition-held areas across country, shelling as many as 424 locations using cluster, phosphorus, therbombaric and explosive bombs as well as the long-range surface-to-surface missiles, causing extensive material damage and leaving dozens of people dead and wounded. At least seven people, mainly women and children, died and dozens more were injured due to the heavy rocket and artillery shelling in the Homs suburb of Rastan. Some 19 more people were killed due to the indiscriminate bombardments on rebels-held towns and neighborhoods in Damascus and its suburbs while at least 20 more were killed in similar attacks on the villages of Tal Aran and Tal Hasel in the Aleppo suburb of Safeera where more than nine people were also killed when regime rockets hit a residential compound in the town’s centre. Today’s death toll reached more than 281, marking the highest death toll in weeks. Regime forces and loyalist militiamen killed at least 251 people, including 15 children, ten women and 27 rebel fighters, whereas the rebels killed more than 30 soldiers and militiamen. Rebel fighters took over the State Security Branch and a strategic bridge in the north eastern part of Deir Azzour city after heavy fighting that lasted for several hours and left at least ten regime forces dead and a number of military vehicles destroyed. The rebels seized full control of the central prison of Idlib which came under heavy airstrikes after the remaining security forces escaped, taking with them the rest of the detainees who haven't managed to flee when the rebels broke into the prison few days ago. More than 1000 soldiers defected from Assad’s army, marking the largest military defection in the 22-month uprising. Defectors fled from their barracks in Damascus and arrived to the north-western province of Idlib today. More than 700,000 Syrian refugees have fled to other countries in the region and aid workers are struggling to keep up with the exodus, the United Nations said today. The number of refugees passed the 500,000 mark on Dec 11, meaning more than 200,000 have fled the country in the past seven weeks.   مجزرة شنيعة في حلب أبرز أخبار اليوم مجزرة في حلب راح ضحيتها أكثر من سحبهم من نهر قويق وكان معظمهم مكبلي الأيدي وتم إعدامها بعيار ناري في منطقة الرأس والرقبة، ويوجد بينهم طفل يبلغ ال12 من العمر، وقد تسارع أهالي المدينة من مناطق مختلفة إلى مكان المجزرة للتعرف على الجثث ومعرفة فيما إذا كان أحد أفراد عائلاتهم المفقودين قد وقع ضحيتها، وذكر ناشطون أن معظم الجثث التي تم التعرف عليها تعود إلى معتقلين سابقين أو أشخاص فقدوا أثناء عبورهم لمناطق تقع تحت سيطرة النظام ولم يدعوا مجالاً للشك في وقوف النظام وراءه هذه المجزرة كذلك قامت قوات النظام بإعدام 14 مواطناً آخراً في أحياء العسالي والقابون بدمشق وعلى مشارف مدن وبلدات داريا ومعضمية الشام وزملكا بريفها، وقامت أيضاً بإعدام وحرق سبعة مدنيين آخرين في مدينة نوى بريف محافظة درعا وكثفت قوات النظام من قصفها العشوائي للمناطق السكنية في مناطق عدة من البلاد لتصل قذائفها أكثر من 424 منطقة، مستخدمةً القنابل العنقودية والفوسفورية والفراغية والبراميل المتفجرة، بالإضافة إلى صواريخ أرض-أرض بعيدة المدى، حيث مخلفةً دماراً كبيراً وعشرات الشهداء والجرحى فقد أسفر القصف العشوائي عن سقوط سبعة شهداء بينهم نساء وأطفال في مدينة الرستن بريف حمص، و19 شهيداً في دمشق وريفها، وأربعة شهداء في قرية المغير بريف حماة، بينما تعرضت مناطق متفرقة من مدينة السفيرة بريف حلب إلى قصف عنيف بالقنابل العنقودية مما أسفر عن سقوط 20 شهيداً وعشرات الجرحى في قريتي تل عران وتل حاصل، وتسعة آخرون بينهم عائلة كاملة مؤلفة من رجل وزوجته وبناته الخمس نتيجة القصف على الحارة الشمالية ووصلت الحصيلة العامة لضحايا اليوم إلى 281 قتيلاً، بينهم 251 شهيداً قضوا بنيران قوات النظام وميلشياته الموالية، منهم 15 طفلاً وعشر نساء، في حين سقط 27 شهيداً في صفوف الثوار وما يقارب 30 قتيلاً في صفوف قوات وميلشيات النظام أثناء الاشتباكات سيطر الثوار على فرع الأمن السياسي وعلى جسر السياسية عند المدخل الشمالي الشرقية لمدينة دير الزور المؤدي إلى محافظة الحسكة، وذلك بعد معارك استمر لساعات أسفرت عن سقوط عشرة قتلى في صفوف قوات النظام وتدمير عدد من الدبابات والآليات العسكرية وأكمل الثوار سيطرتهم على كافة مباني سجن إدلب المركزي الذي تعرض إلى قصف من قوات النظام التي انسحبت منه مع عدد كبير من السجناء الذين لم يتمكنوا من الفرار، وفي ريف إدلب وصل من ريف دمشق اليوم أكثر من 1000 عنصر عسكري منشق تم تأمين انشقاقهم وإيصالهم بمساعدة الجيش الحر ليكون هذا الانشقاق هو الأكبر على الإطلاق منذ اندلاع الثورة السورية قالت الأمم المتحدة اليوم أنه تم تسجيل أكثر من 700 ألف لاجئ سوري في دول
