Summary of Events During his first public speech in more than six months, Bashar al-Assad announced a political solution to the 22-month-old conflict. An initiative that’s meant to be discussed with the internal opposition only or those “who didn’t betray Syria” while clearly eliminating the opposition in exile. According to Assad, the peace plan to be achieved must go through three stages, the first stage requires the cessation of what he called “terrorist operations” by the rebels and after that the military operations will halt by his Armed Forces while preserving the right to react to any threat. During the second stage the current government calls for a comprehensive national dialogue conference for reaching a national charter that would draft a new constitution which will then lead to the third stage where a new government will be formed and a general amnesty will be given to those arrested due to the events and finally, the new government will work towards rehabilitating infrastructure, reconstruction, in addition to compensating the citizens affected. The Syrian political and armed opposition rejected Assad’s peace plan saying that he didn’t come up with anything new and he instead insisted on going on with his war against his people and therefore, they insisted that any political solution must start with Assad’s ouster. Assad’s speech “demonstrates that he is incapable of initiating a political solution that puts forward a resolution for the country’s struggle and an exit for his regime with minimum”, the Syrian National Coalition said in a statement today. The coalition reiterated its call for arming the Syrian rebels in order to overthrow the Assad regime. Rebel commanders who dismissed any chances for a political solution to the Syrian crisis vowed to continue fighting the regime forces until Assad is toppled. Regime forces shelled as many as 294 different locations across the country using all sort of heavy weaponry, including cluster, phosphorous, thermobaric and explosive bombs. Some 122 locations were shelled by mortar shells and 111 others were pounded by heavy artillery. More than 51 locations came under rocket shelling as fighter jets and helicopter gunships struck seven others. Violence left at least 120 people dead today. Some 100 were killed by regime forces including ten women, two children and 20 rebel fighters whereas more than 20 regime soldiers and militiamen were killed by the rebel forces. Pro-regime militias attacked the village of Tasnin in the suburb of Homs, killing and burning dozens of civilians, according to eyewitness. Only eight victims were identified thus far. Regime forces killed 18 people in Aleppo today, five of whom died when a mortar shell hit a minibus in the neighbourhood of Sukari, while nine more were shot dead by regime forces in the neighbourhoods of Karm Meyasar, Saladin and Ashrafiya. They also killed 27 people in Damascus and suburbs, most of whom died during clashes with regime forces throughout the province. Meanwhile, 14 people, including four women were shot dead in several towns in Daraa, while dozens more civilians and rebel fighters were killed due to the violent clashes and shelling that took place in Hama, Deir Azzour and Latakia. The rebels resumed their attacks on the military bases of Quwayres, Menneg and Jarah in the suburbs of Aleppo, Taftanaz in idlib as well as the Deir Azzour airbase in the eastern province of Deir Azzour. The rebels secured the defection of 50 security personnel in the city of Hasaka and took over an oil field in the district of Houl in Hasaka itself, after fierce battle where the rebels detained many army soldiers and captured several Doskha vehicles and SUVs. The rebels also secured the defection of 62 soldiers in the Aleppo suburb of Menbej. Heavy fighting continued on various fronts in Damascus and its suburbs, Daraa, Idlib, Homs, Hama and Latakia where the rebels managed to destroy at least ten military vehicles in addition to killing مواصلة قصف مطارات عسكرية في شمال وشرق البلاد ملخص الأحداث بعد غياب دام أكثر من ستة أشهر، ظهر بشار الأسد ليلقي خطاباً جديداً طرح فيه خطة سياسية لمعارضة الداخل فقط نافياً أن تكون موجهة للمعارضة خارج سورية، وتتلخص المبادرة بمراحل ثلاث تبدأ المرحلة الأولى بوقف ما أسماهما العمليات الإرهابية من قبل الثوار ومن ثم سيقوم بدوره بوقف العمليات العسكرية مع الاحتفاظ بحق الرد، وفي المرحلة الثانية يتم عقد مؤتمر للحوار الوطني للتوصل إلى ميثاق وطني يقوم بعدها بتشكيل حكومة موسعة تقوم بسن دستور جديد للبلاد، وفي المرحلة الثالثة والأخيرة يتم تشكيل حكومة جديدة وقفاً للدستور وإصدار عفو عام عن المعتقلين والعمل على تأهيل البنية التحتية وإعادة الإعمار وتعويض المتضررين أعلنت المعارضة السورية السياسية والمسلحة عن رفضها التام للخطة التي بادر بها الأسد، واصفين خطابه بأنه لم يأت بجديد، وإنما أصر فيه على مواصلة حربه على شعبه، وأكدوا على ضرورة تنحية الأسد كشرط أساسي لأي مبادرة سياسية لحل الأزمة، وقال الائتلاف الوطني السوري في بيان صدر عنه أن الأسد "غير قادر على الشروع في حل سياسي يقدم مخرجاً للبلاد ولنظامه بأقل الخسائر"، وطالب الائتلاف مجدداً المجتمع الدولي بمد الثوار بالسلاح للتخلص من النظام، كما توعد قادة الجيش السوري الحر بمواصلة القتال ضد جيش النظام مؤكدين استحالة التوصل إلى تسوية سياسية للأزمة الدائرة في البلاد منذ 22 شهراً وفي تلك الأثناء، واصلت قوات النظام عملياتها العسكرية في مختلف أنحاء البلاد حيث قصفت أكثر من 294 منطقة في مختلف أنحاء البلاد مستخدمةً القنابل العنقودية والفراغية بالإضافة إلى البراميل المتفجرة، فقد شهدت حوالي 122 منطقة قصفاً بمدافع الهاون و51 منطقة قصفت براجمات الصواريخ و111 منطقة بالمدفعية الثقيلة، كما شن سلاح الجو غارات جوية على سبع مناطق أخرى مما أسفر عن دمار كبير وسقوط عشرات الشهداء والجرحى ووصلت حصيلة ضحايا أحداث العنف اليوم إلى 120، بينهم 100 شهيداً قتلوا على يد قوات النظام وميلشياته الموالية، بينهم عشر سيدات وطفلين و20 مقاتلاً من كائب الثوار، في حين سقط ما يقارب 20 قتيلاً من قوات وميلشيات النظام على يد الثوار فقد قامت ميليشيات موالية للنظام باقتحام قرية تسنين بريف حمص وإعدام عشرات المدنيين وحرق جثثهم حسب شهود عيان، وقد تم التعرف على ثمانية شهداء منهم حتى اللحظة، وفي حلب سقط 18 شهيداً بينهم خمسة قضوا جراء سقوط قذيفة هاون على حافلة للركاب في حي السكري، بينما سقط تسعة شهداء آخرون برصاص قوات النظام في أحياء كرم الميسر والصاخور وصلاح الدين والأشرفية وقتلت قوات النظام 27 مواطناً في دمشق وريفها معظمهم قضوا برصاص قوات النظام أثناء الاشتباكات، و14 آخرين في درعا بينهم أربع سيدات قضوا جميعهم برصاص قوات النظام في مدن وبلدات الشيخ مسكين والغارية الغربية وبصرى الشام وبصر الحرير والصورة وتسيل، كما سقط العشرات من الشهداء والجرحى جراء القصف والاشتباكات التي دارت في حماة وإدلب ودير الزور واللاذقية واصل الثوار هجومهم على مطارات كويرس ومنغ والجراح بريف حلب وتفتناز بريف إدلب ودير الزور بريف محافظة دير الزور، وتمكن الثوار من تأمين انشقاق 50 عنصراً من قوى الأمن الداخلي وفرع المهام الخاصة في مدينة الحسكة وذلك تزامناً مع اقتحامهم وسيطرتهم على حقل تشرين النفطي في ناحية الهول بنفس المحافظة حيث قاموا بأسر العديد من عناصر الحراسة واغتنام عدد من عربات الدوشكا وسيارات الدفع الرباعي، كما أفاد ناشطون بانشقاق أكثر من 62 عسكرياً برتب مختلفة في مدينة منبج بريف حلب ودارت اشتباكات عنيفة في مناطق عدة من مدينة دير الزور وريف دمشق ودرعا وحماة وحمص واللاذقية تمكن الثوار من خلالها تدمير أربع دبابات في كل من بصر الحرير في درعا والعتيبة بريف دمشق، وأوقعوا عشرات
