Destroyed four military tanks, two armored vehicles and captured one more in Aleppo suburbs. Summary of Events Syria's army and main rebel force said they will cease fire on Friday, in line with an internationally backed truce during a Muslim holiday, but both reserved the right to respond to any aggression. Meanwhile, the al-Nusra Front and the Ansar al-Islam Group said they will not lay down their weapons and denounced the truce as a "trick". The Syrian National Council accused the Syrian regime of being responsible for the kidnapping and murder of the Greek Orthodox Priest Fadi al-Hadad in the Damascus suburb of Douma. The SNC spokesman George Sabra said that gangs belonging to the regime killed Father Fady Haddad in order to drag the country into sectarian strife. In Daraa, the residents of the ancient town of Bosra, once the capital of the Roman province of Arabia which is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, voiced alarm at the looting and the extensive damage being inflicted on the town’s archaeological sites due to the regime’s indiscriminate shelling. Regime forces resumed their heavy aerial bombardments on the suburbs of Damascus, killing more than 33 people, of which 15 died in the town of Douma, 4 in the town of Erbin and many others in the towns of Harasta and Daraya. Meanwhile, the bodies of an unidentified woman and two men were discovered in the neighbourhood of Tishrin. In Aleppo, more than 32 people were killed today, of which 14 died due to the heavy shelling that targeted the neighbourhood of Ashrafiya after it has been seized by the rebels. Dozens more people were killed due to the indiscriminate shelling and gunfire in the neighbourhoods of Tariq al-Bab and Sukari as well as in the provincial towns of Daret Ezza, Tal Salour, Owayja, Mansoura, Khan Asal and Heraytan. At least eight people were killed in an airstrike on a residential compound in the Idlib suburb of Khan Sheikhoun while ten others died in the province of Homs, most of them fell in the towns of Qusayr and Rastan. Some five civilians were shot dead by regime forces in the Daraa suburbs of Naima, Kafarshams, Sanamen and Ma’arbeh, while two more died in Deir Azzour and one more woman in the Raqa suburb of Jabal Ali. Regime forces also shelled more than 26 different areas in Homs province in addition to many other areas in the provinces of Deir Azzour, Idlib and Latakia.
