Summary of Events At least 50 people, including 24 children, were killed in a Scud missile attacks on the neighborhoods of Ard Hamra and Tariq al-Bab in Aleppo city. The death toll is likely to increase as the amount of damage caused by the attacked was massive; more than 100 houses were reduced to rubble and hundreds of people were injured while others were still trapped under the rubble as rescue operations are still underway. Four more areas in Aleppo were also hit by Scud missiles including the towns of Hayan and Indan. Regime fighter jets carried out several airstrikes on Aleppo city as well, two of which targeted a hospital in the neighborhood of Ma’adi and the mosque of Omar Bin Khabta in the provincial town of Tal Shoghaib and therefore leaving dozens of people dead and wounded. Ten more people were killed and many more were injured when an artillery shell targeted a mosque in the Daraa suburb of Herak during the Friday prayers. Regime indiscriminate shelling also left at least nine people dead in the Homs suburbs of Qusayr and Rastan in addition to ten more in the Hasaka suburb of Tal Hamis. In Damascus, some 41 people were killed today, four of which were tortured to death by pro-regime militiamen near the mainly Alawite neighborhood of Tishrin while the rest died as a result of the violent shelling in the neighborhoods of Qabun and Jobar as well as in the provincial towns of Mesraba, Douma, Harasta, Irbin, Zakiya, Daraya, Darkhabiya and Tayba. More than 307 anti-regime demonstrations were held today under the banner of "Raqa the proud on the road to freedom" in solidarity with the province of northern Syria. Protesters reiterated their demands in overthrowing the regime and hailed the victories made by the rebel fighters. They also denounced the escalating shelling and explosions that target innocent civilians. In response, regime security forces fired indiscriminately on peaceful protesters in the neighborhood of Mishleb in Raqa city, killing at least four people and injuring 16 others. Following a two-day meeting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, the opposition Syrian National Coalition agreed to name a prime minister for the new transitional government which is due to be formed during the next meeting in the Turkish capital of Istanbul on the second of March. The SC’s spokesperson Walid al-Bonni said that the new government will operate in the rebels-held areas in the north of Syria. Today’s death toll reached more than 235. Regime forces and loyalist militiamen killed at least 163 people, including 33 children, 17 women and 14 rebel fighters, whereas the rebels killed more than 72 soldiers and militiamen. Media sources said that dozens of regime soldiers and high-ranking officers were killed when a Scud-type missile exploded in the 155th missile base in the suburb of Damascus. The military bureau of the 313th Brigade of the General Commission of the Syrian Revolution announced a major offensive to liberate the eastern province of Hasaka. They began by taking over the town of Tal Hamis and moving some 20km north towards the mainly Kurdish city of Kamishly. The rebels gained more victories in the eastern province of Deir Azzour as they took over the premises of the Kobar Nuclear Scientific Research where they captured their first Scud-type missile. They also took over a medical and sports complexes in the city of Deir Azzour and seized full-control of the Niran Battalion and the air defense bases of the 113th Brigade in its western suburb. In Damascus, the rebels killed six security personnel when they launched an attack on a checkpoint near the premises of Electricity Authority in the Mutahaliq Jaboubi road. They stormed a checkpoint in the provincial town of Darkhabiya and killed two Shiite foreign militiamen in the town of Sayeda Zeinab. They also repelled the repeated ground assaults by regime forces on the southern neighborhoods of Yarmouk, Tadamon, Qadam and Asasly as well as on the provincial towns of Daraya, Aqraba, Zamalka, Marj and Bibila. The rebels stormed the Ayn Shib checkpoint in the Cornice area of the western part of Idlib city and destroyed two military tanks when they attacked a checkpoint in the town of Maghyar in the northwestern suburb of Hama. Heavy fighting also continued between the rebels and regime forces on various fronts in Aleppo, Daraa, Homs and Raqa as more than 35 soldiers defected to the rebels side in base of Mahin in the suburb بلدة تل شغيب في ريف حلب مسفرةً عن سقوط عشرات الشهداء والجرحى وهدم بعض المنازل وارتكبت قوات النظام مجزرة أخرى بحق المدنيين عندما قصفت مسجد أبو بكر الصديق في مدينة الحراك في ريف درعا وذلك أثناء خروج المصلين من المسجد مما أدى إلى سقوط عشرة شهداء وعشرات الجرحى، كما أسفر القصف العشوائي عن سقوط تسعة شهداء في مدن القصير والرستن في ريف حمص، وعشرة آخرون في بلدة تل حميس في محافظة الحسكة وفي دمشق، سقط 41 شهيداً، أربعة منهم قضوا تحت التعذيب في حي تشرين، وآخرون قضوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي على حيي القابون وجوبر ومدن وبلدات مسرابا ودوما وحرستا وعربين وزاكية وداريا والدرخبية والطيبة في ريف دمشق وتحت شعار "الرقة الأبية على طريق الحرية"، خرجت في معظم المحافظات السورية أكثر من 307 مظاهرات مناوئة لنظام الأسد، وهتف المتظاهرون لنصرة الجيش الحر ونددوا بالقصف وعمليات التفجير التي تستهدف المدنيين وقامت قوات الأمن بإطلاق النار على المتظاهرين في حي المشلب في مدينة الرقة مما أدى إلى سقوط أربعة شهداء وأكثر من 16 جريحاً عقب اجتماع عقده على مدى يومين في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة، اتفق الائتلاف الوطني لقوى الثورة والمعارضة السورية على تسمية رئيس للوزراء تمهيداً لتشكيل حكومة انتقالية في الخارج، وقال المتحدث باسم الائتلاف وليد البني إن اجتماعاً سيعقد في إسطنبول في الثاني من آذار/مارس لاختيار رئيس وزراء الحكومة الانتقالية وأعضائها، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الحكومة ستعمل في المناطق المحررة التي تسيطر عليها المعارضة في شمال البلاد ووصلت الحصية العامة لضحايا اليوم إلى 235 قتيلاً، بينهم 163 شهيداً، قضوا بنيران قوات النظام وميلشياته الموالية، منهم 33 طفلاً و17 سيدة، في حين سقط 14 شهيداً في صفوف الثوار وما يقارب عن 72 قتيلاً في صفوف قوات وميلشيات النظام أثناء الاشتباكات وأفادت مصادر إعلامية بانفجار صاروخ من طراز سكود داخل مقر اللواء 155 في ريف دمشق مما أدى إلى سقوط عشرات القتلى والجرحى في صفوف قوات النظام ‫أعلن المكتب العسكري للواء 313 مهام خاصة التابع للهيئة العامة للثورة السورية في بيان له عن بدء معركة تحرير الحسكة وأعلن أيضاً عن تحرير بلدة تل حميس والتقدم نحو 20 كم نحو مدينة القامشلي وصولاً إلى قرية أبو قصايب حقق الجيش الحر تقدماً كبيراً في دير الزور حيث سيطر على مركز الكبر للبحوث النووية واغتنم صاروخ سكود فيه، وسيطر أيضاً على منطقة العيادات الشاملة والصالة الرياضية في مدينة دير الزور وعلى كتيبة النيران التابعة للواء 113 وكتيبة الدفاع الجوي رقم 113 في ريف دير الزور الغربي بعد تدميرها بشكل شبه كامل، ويكون بذلك مقر اللواء 113 مؤهلاً للسقوط في يد الجيش الحر في أي لحظة وفي دمشق، هاجم الثوار قوات النظام المتمركزة في مبنى شركة الكهرباء بين منطقة كراجات البولمان وطريق المتحلق الجنوبي وأوقعوا ستة قتلى في صفوف عناصر الحاجز، واقتحموا حاجز بلدة الدرخبية في ريف دمشق ودمروا ما فيه من آليات واغتنموا ما فيه من سلاح وعتاد، وقاموا بقتل عنصرين من الميليشيات الشيعية الأجنبية الموالية للنظام في مدينة السيدة زينب، كما تصدوا لمحاولة قوات النظام اقتحام أحياء مخيم اليرموك والتضامن والقدم والعسالي في جنوب دمشق ومدن وبلدات داريا وعقرباوزملكا والمرج وببيلا في ريفها وسيطر الثوار على حاجز مفرق عين شيب الواقع في منطقة كورنيش مدينة إدلب الغربي، ودمروا دبابتين أثناء هجوماً واسعاًبالدبابات على حاجز المغير في ريف حماة الشمالي الغربي، كما دارت اشتباكات عنيفة في مناطق متفرقة من حلب وريفها
