Assad sends thousands of troops to end clashes in his hometown   Assad's home town of Kerdaha in the province of Latakia   Today's Top Stories Assad sent thousands of troops to Latakia in order end clashes between pro and anti-government Alawite militias in his home city of Latakia. Regime forces killed at least 58 civilians in Damascus and its suburbs including 22 in the town of Douma and 16 in Harasta. At least 15 unidentified civilians were killed “execution style” in the neighbourhood of Jamiyat Zahera in the city of Aleppo. Shot down a helicopter gunship in the neighbourhood of Jobar in Damascus. Killed Commander-in-Chief of the militant Hezbollah fighters in Syria. Launched a major military offensive in the Raqa suburb of Tabaqa in order to push Assad’s forces out. Seized control of a military site and detained a Brigadier General in the Homs suburb of Qosayr. Summary of Events Assad sent thousands of troops to Latakia in order bring stability back and end clashes in his home city of Aleppo as scores of Alawite militiamen were killed and many more were injured as heavy fighting continued between pro and anti-Assad militias in his home city of Kerdaha and the Sport City of Latakia province. Regime forces fiercely bombarded the suburbs of Damascus using mortars, rocket launchers, heavy artillery and helicopter gunships, killing at least 58 civilians, including 22 in the town of Douma and 16 in the town of Harasta while many more died in the towns of Maliha, Kafarbatna and Abada. Regime forces also murdered dozen more people in the Damascus suburbs of Daraya, Qtaifeh, Qatana and Saqba. Massive explosion shocked the neighbourhood of Fahama in central Damascus followed by heavy clashes between regime forces and rebel fighters that also spread to the area of Mashroo Dumar. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled the neighbourhood of Jobar and the groves between Kafarsouseh and Qadam in the southern part of the capital. The regime also resumed detonating and demolishing residential buildings in the neighbourhoods of Barzeh, Qabun and Tadamon. Activists said that at least 15 unidentified civilians were killed “execution style” in the neighbourhood of Jamiyat Zahera in the city of Aleppo. In the meantime, the fight for the city continued in several neighbourhoods between the rebel fighters and regime forces who used their heavy artillery and fighter jets in bombarding the neighbourhoods of Nerab, Sukari, Owayja, Kalaseh, Bustan Qaser and Sakhour as well as the provincial towns of al-Bab, Daret Ezza, Deir Hafer, Khan Asal, Hretan and Kafar Halab causing several deaths and injuries while destroying dozens of residential buildings. Regime forces also launched a massive offensive in the neighbourhood of Tariq al-Sad in the city of Daraa as well as in the Refugee Camp killing at least 29 civilians, most of them killed “execution style”. In the meantime, regime forces resumed their fierce and indiscriminate shelling of densely populated areas throughout the country, leaving scores of civilians dead and wounded while destroying dozens of houses. They shelled the neighbourhoods of Waer, Qarabi and Qosour in the city of Homs as well as its provincial towns of Rastan, Talbiseh, Ghanto and Qosyar. They also shelled the Hama suburbs of Salamiya and Sahl al-Ghab as well as the Daraa suburbs of Tafas and Lajat. They heavily bombarded the city of Deir Azzour and its provincial towns of Boukamal, Shahil and Mohasan, in addition to the Idlib suburbs of Mahambel, Kafarnabel, Taftanaz and Jabal Azzawiya. They also shelled the Latakia suburbs of Khadra, Bait Awan, Helweh, Bakas and Shirqaf as well as the Raqa subursb of Tabaqa, Tal Abyad and Beir Mehesen in addition to the villages of Jubata Khashab ومهاجمة عدد من المراكز الأمنية وقتل عدد من عناصرها السيطرة على حاجز الرزاعة في مدينة القصير في حمص وأسر عميد ركن ملخص الأحداث تواصلت الاشتباكات في مسقط رأس بشار الأسد بمدينة القرداحة بين ميلشيات من آل الأسد وشاليش الموالية للأسد وميلشيات من آل عثمان وآل الخير المعارضة له، كما دارت اشبتاكات وللمرة الأولى في المدينة الرياضية في قلب مدينة اللاذقية أيضاً بين موالين ومعارضين للأسد نجم عنها عشرات القتلى والجرحى، هذا وقام النظام بإرسال آلاف الجنود وعناصر الأمن من أجل الحفاظ على استقرار المدينة وانهاء الاشتباكات قتلت قوات النظام أكثر من 58 مدنياً في العاصمة دمشق وريفها بينهم 22 شهيداً في مدينة دوما و16 شهيداً في مدينة حرستا وعدد آخر في مدن وبلدات المليحة وكفربطنا والعبادة وذلك جراء القصف العشوائي والممنهج بقذائف الهاون وراجمات الصواريخ والمدفعية الثقيلة والمروحيات، فيما سقط عدد آخر من الشهداء برصاص قوات النظام في مدن وبلدات داريا والقطيفة وقطنا وسقبا هذا وهز انفجار ضخم حي الفحامة وسط العاصمة دمشق تبعه إطلاق نار كثيف واشتباكات عنيفة بين الجيش الحر وجيش النظام امتدت أيضاً إلى منطقة مشروع دمر وطريق دمشق-درعا الدولي، فيما واصلت مدفعية النظام قصفها لحي جوبر والبساتين بين كفرسوسة والقدم وداريا، كما واصلت حملات هدم وتفجير الممتلكات الخاصة في أحياء برزة والتضامن والقابون أفاد ناشطون بأنه تم العثور على 15 جثة في حي جمعية الزهراء في مدينة حلب أعدموا ميدانياً من قبل القوات النظامية، فيما تواصلت الاشتباكات العنيف بين الجيش الحر وجيش النظام في عدة أحياء وسط قصف عنيف بالمدفعية الثقيلة والطيران الحربي من قبل جيش النظام والذي طال أحياء النيرب والسكري والعويجة والكلاسة وبستان القصر والصاخور ومدن وبلدات الباب ودارة عزة ودير حافر وخان العسل وحريتان وكفر حلب مما أدى إلى سقوط عدد من الشهداء والجرحى وتهديم عدد كبير من المنازل وشنت قوات النظام حملة عسكرية واسعة في أحياء طريق السد ومخيم النازحين في مدينة درعا تخللها قصف عنيف وإعدامات ميدانية راح ضحيتها ما يزيد عن 29 شهيداً معظمهم في مخيم النازحين في غضون ذلك، واصلت قوات النظام قصفها العشوائي والعنيف والذي خلف عشرات الشهداء والجرحى فضلاً عن تهديم عشرات المنازل في مختلف أنحاء البلاد، حيث قصفت قواته أحياء الوعر والقرابيص والقصور في مدينة حمص ومدن وبلدات تلبيسة والرستن والغنطو والقصير، وقرى مناطق السلمية وسهل الغاب في ريف حماة، ومدينة طفس وقرى منطقة اللجاة  في محافظة درعا كذلك قصفت قوات النظام عدة أحياء من مدينة دير الزور ومدن الشحيل والبوكمال وموحسن في محافظة دير الزور، ومدن وبلدات محبل وكفرنبل وتفتناز ومنطقة جبل الزاوية في ريف إدلب، وبلدات الخضراء وبيت عوان والحلوة وبكاس وشيرقاف في ريف اللاذقية، ومدينة الطبقة وبلدة تل أبيض ومنطقة بير
