Summary of Events Regime forces escalated their brutal crackdown on opposition-held areas as they intensified their indiscriminate shelling and carried out summary executions that claimed the lives of dozens of people and left dozens more wounded. This come as the Assad regime loses another member of its inner circle while the UN decided to suspend its missions within the country until further notice. Diplomatic sources confirmed to the Strategic Research and Communicating Centre that the Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Jihad Makdissi, one of the highest-ranking Christian members of Assad’s inner circle, has fled to Qatar, while other sources said he fled to London via Beirut. The regime retaliated by torching his house in the neighbourhood of Mazeh in Damascus as one of its officials said Makdissi has been sacked for making statements which did not reflect official government positions. Regime forces shelled as many as 291 different areas today. They fired mortar shells on more than 76 areas while their heavy artillery pounded more than 156 others. Some 59 areas came under rocket shelling as fighter jets bombarded more than 21 areas of which three are said to have been shelled by cluster bombs. Helicopter gunships dropped barrel bombs on six areas thus causing extensive damage to residential buildings and leaving scores of people dead and injured. Today’s death toll reached 197, including ten children, eight women and 38 rebel fighters. At least 90 people were killed in Damascus and its suburbs, 39 of whom were summarily executed in the provincial town of Thiyabiya while dozens more were killed due to the indiscriminate shelling in the provincial towns of Douma, Mliha, Mesraba, Daraya, Hamouriya and Bait Sahem. Regime forces also killed 40 people in Aleppo, 15 of whom were killed when regime rockets and artillery shells rained the neighbourhood of Bustan Qaser, targeting a bakery and surrounding buildings. They killed 16 people in Daraa, 10 of whom died due to the violent shelling and fighting in the town of Taffas. Some 13 people, including four children died due to the indiscriminate shelling in the Idlib suburbs of Armanaya and Barrah, while ten others died when a regime fighter jet bombarded the Hasaka suburb of Ras al-Ain. At least people ten died in the suburbs of Hama, four of whom died due to the aerial and rocket shelling in the town of Aqrab. Rebels clashed with regime forces in more than 157 different areas today. They shot down a fighter jet as it bombarded the East Ghouta district of Damascus province and repelled the regime’s attempt to retake the Damascus suburbs of Bibila and Aqraba located near the road to Damascus airport. They attacked a military convoy that included armoured vehicles and fuel tanks near the “second bridge”, 10km west of the airport. Humanitarian conditions in Aleppo continued to worsen due to power outage. Bread crisis is also exacerbating as regime forces continue to target bakeries and as fuel becomes scarce. الانشقاقات عن النظام السوري وإعلان الأمم المتحدة تعليق عملها في سورية بسبب تدهور الأوضاع الأمنية أكدت مصادر دبلوماسية لمركز التواصل والأبحاث الاستراتيجية انشقاق جهاد مقدسي، المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية السورية، أحد أبرز الشخصيات المسيحية في البلاد، وأنه يقيم حالياً في قطر، بينما ذكرت مصادر أخرى أن المقدسي كان قد توجه إلى لندن عبر بيروت، ورد النظام السوري على ذلك بحرق منزل المقدسي في حي المزة في دمشق مباشرة عقب تسرب أنباء انشقاقه، وقد ذكرت مصادر نظامية رسمية أن المقدسي تم إعفائه من مهامه بسبب خروجه عن السياسة العامة للدولة في التصريح باسم الخارجية قصفت قوات النظام اليوم أكثر من 291 منطقة في مختلف أنحاء البلاد، فقد تعرضت أكثر من 76 منقطة لقصف بمدافع الهاون و156 منطقة قصفت بالمدفعية الثقيلة، و59 منطقة قصفت براجمات الصواريخ، بينما قصفت الطائرات الحربية أكثر من 21 منطقة كان أكثرها في ريف دمشق، كما تعرضت ثلاث مناطق للقصف بالقنابل العنقودية وست مناطق أخرى قصفت بالبراميل المتفجرة مما أدى إلى سقوط عشرات الشهداء والجرحى فضلاً عن تهدم عشرات المباني السكنية وقتلت قوات النظام ما يزيد عن 197 مواطناً اليوم بينهم عشرة أطفال وثمانية نساء و38 مقاتلاً من كتائب الثوار ففي دمشق وريفها سقط ما لا يقل عن 90 شهيداً بينهم 39 تم إعدامهم ميدانياً من قبل قوات النظام وعصاباته المسلحة في بلدة الذيابية والتي يسكنها نازحون من هضبة الجولان المحتل، بينما سقط العشرات من الشهداء والجرحى نتيجة القصف الذي استهدف مدن وبلدات دوما والمليحة ومسرابا وداريا وحمورية وبيت سحم وفي حلب، قتلت قوات النظام ما لا يقل عن 40 مواطناً، بينهم 15 شهيداً وما يزيد عن 50 جريحاً سقطوا في قصف صاروخي ومدفعي استهدف منازل المدنيين ومخبز في سوق حي بستان القصر، وخمسة تم إعدامهم ميدانياً في مدينة السفيرة في ريف حلب، كما قتلت قوات النظام 16 مواطناً في درعا بينهم عشرة على الأقل سقطوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي والاشتباكات التي دارت في مدينة طفس، و13 مواطناً في إدلب بينهم أربعة أطفال قضوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي على بلدات أرمنايا والبارة، وسقط ما لا يقل عن عشرة شهداء وعشرات الجرحى جراء غارات جوية شنتها طائرات النظام الحربية على مدينة رأس العين في محافظة الحسكة، وعشرة شهداء آخرون في ريف حماة بينهم أربعة قضوا نتيجة القصف الصاروخي وبالطيران الحربي على بلدة عقرب ‫تواصلت الاشتباكات في مختلف أنحاء البلاد حيث تم تسجيل أكثر من 157 نقطة اشتباك، تمكن الثوار من إسقاط طائرة حربية في الأراضي الواقعة بين الضمير والرحيبة كانت تقصف قرى وبلدات الغوطة الشرقية فريف دمشق، كما تصدى الجيش الحر لمحاولة جيش النظام اقتحام بلدات ببيلا وعقربا القريبة من طريق مطار دمشق الدولي وتمكن من تدمير عدد من الآليات وصهاريج وقود لجيش النظام بالقرب من الجسر الثاني تعيش معظم أحياء مدينة حلب حالة إنسانية صعبة وذلك بسبب انقطاع التيار الكهربائي بشكل كامل عن بعض المناطق بينما يعمل لساعات قليلة في بعضها الآخر، كذلك تفاقمت أزمة توفر الخبز في البلاد ولا سيما في مدينة حلب حيث يتراوح سعر ربطة الخبز بين 150 و200 ليرة سورية وذلك بسبب القصف الذي تتعرض له الأفران في المناطق التي يسيطر عليها الثوار بالإضافة إلى فقدان مادة المازوت اللازمة لتشغيلها Revolution Statistics
