Summary of Events Europe and the US warned the Syrian regime that the use of chemical weapons by the regime would be unacceptable. US President Barack Obama warned Assad that "The use of chemical weapons is and would be totally unacceptable and if you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons there will be consequences and you will be held accountable,". This came as U.S. officials said that the Syrian regime was preparing for a Sarin gas attack on opposition areas. The rebels continued to besiege the airport with their units stationed in the town of Haran Awamid, 400 meters away of it, thus forcing the closure of the airport for the second time. They also made a presence on its 20-km long road after taking over the “second bridge”, the things which enabled them to launch attacks on regime military convoys, bombing two busses and killing at least 50 soldiers and militiamen. They also clashed with regime forces near the village of Shabaa, 11 km west of the airport and managed to destroy a number of military tanks. The rebels stormed the Aqraba airbase as well as two air defense bases in the suburbs of Damascus while continuing their attack on Deir Azzour airbase. The Syrian state media announced the death of Deputy Chief of Staff Gen. Bassam Antakiay, after receiving a “heart attack”. Regime forces continued their military offensive on the opposition-held areas throughout the country. They shelled as many as 245 different areas, 76 of which were shelled by mortar shells while 86 others were pounded by heavy artillery. Some 42 areas came under rocket shelling as fighter jets bombarded more than ten others, two of which are said to have been shelled by cluster bombs. Helicopter gunships dropped barrel bombs on four areas thus causing extensive damage to residential buildings and leaving scores of people dead and injured. Today’s death toll reached 133, including 18 children, eight women and 38 rebel fighters. At least 65 people were killed in Damascus and its suburbs, 20 of whom were summarily executed in the neighbourhood of Kafarsouseh as wel as in the provincial towns of Qudsaya, Hameh and Yalda. Some eight children were killed when a mortar shell hit their school in the Wafedain refugee camp in the suburb of Douma and dozens more were killed due to the indiscriminate shelling in the provincial towns of Shabaa, Daraya, Moadamiya, Nabek, Mesraba and Yalda. Regime forces also killed 21 people in Aleppo, including two children and three women that died due to the indiscriminate shelling in the neighbourhood of Ashrafiya and the provincial town of Souran. Some 16 people were killed in Homs, eight of whom died due to the violent mortar and rocket bombardments on the town of Qusayr, meanwhile, a family of three members were killed with knives in the Homs suburb of Tal Kalakh. At least 30% of the 50,000 Syrian businessmen who fled the country since the conflict began 20 months ago are now in Egypt. Their main investments were made in cafes, restaurants and sewing workshops with estimated total capital ranging between 400-500 million USD. Ahmad Diab, head of the Syrian Investment Authority said the volume of Syrian investments abroad ranges between 70 to 100 billion dollars. المجتمع الدولي يحذر الأسد من مغبة استخدام أسلحته الكيماوية أفادت بأن النظام قامت بنشاطات غير اعتيادية عند مخازن تلك الأسلحة وأعطى أوامر لوضعها في أهبة الاستعداد، فقد قال الرئيس الأميركي باراك أوباما إن استخدام النظام السوري أسلحة كيماوية ضد شعبه لن يكون مقبولاً أبداً وأن العالم يراقبه بحذر واستخدام هذه الأسلحة سيكون خطأ جسيماً له عواقب واصل الثوار حصارهم لمطار دمشق الدولي حيث وصلت كتائبهم إلى مسافة لا تبعد سوى 400 متر عن أسواره قرب بلدة حران العواميد مما أدى إلى إغلاقه بشكل كامل، كما ولأول مرة استطاع الثوار التمركز على طريق مطار دمشق بعد السيطرة على جسر عقربا، واستهدفوا باصين لميليشيا النظام على طريق المطار مما أسفر عن سقوط أكثر من 50 قتيلاً في صفوفهم، كما اشتبكوا مع قوات النظام في قرية شبعا التي تبعد عن المطار حوالي 11 كم وقاموا بإعطاب أربع دبابات واقتحم الثوار مطار عقربا العسكري وكتيبة للدفاع الجوي في بلدة المليحة واللواء 22 دفاع جوي في الغوطة الشرقية، وواصلوا حصارهم لمطار دير الزور مع وصول تعزيزات لهم من مدينة القورية للمشاركة في اقتحامه والسيطرة عليه، وأعلنت وكالة الأنباء السورية عن وفاة نائب رئيس الأركان للجيش العماد بسام نجم الدين أنطاكية بنوبة قلبية شهدت البلاد يوم دام آخر، حيث واصلت قوات النظام حملاتها العسكرية على المناطق التي يسيطر عليها الثوار، حيث قصفت أكثر من 245 منطقة في مختلف أنحاء البلاد، بينها أكثر من 86 منقطة تعرضت لقصف بمدافع الهاون و42 منطقة قصفت براجمات الصواريخ، بينما قصفت الطائرات الحربية أكثر من عشر مناطق كان أكثرها في ريف دمشق، منطقتين تعرضتا للقصف بالقنابل العنقودية وأربع مناطق أخرى بالبراميل المتفجرة مما أدى إلى سقوط عشرات الشهداء والجرحى فضلاً عن تهدم عشرات المباني السكنية ووصلت حصيلة شهداء اليوم إلى 133، بينهم 18 طفلاً و8 نساء و33 مقاتلاً من كتائب الثوار ففي دمشق وريفها سقط ما لا يقل عن 65 شهيداً بينهم 20 على الأقل تم إعدامهم ميدانياً في حي كفرسوسة ومدن وبلدات الهامة وقدسيا ويلدا، وثمانية أطفال قضوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي الذي استهدف مدرستهم في مخيم الوافدين في مدينة دوما، وعشرات آخرون سقطوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي على مدن وبلدات شبعا وداريا ومعضمية الشام والنبك ومسرابا ويلدا وفي حلب سقط 21 شهيداً بينهم طفلين قضوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي على حي الأشرفية وثلاث نساء سقطوا نتيجة قصف بلدة صوران في ريف حلب بالبراميل المتفجرة قبل يومين، و16 شهيداً في حمص بينهم ثمانية قضوا نتيجة القصف العشوائي على مدينة القصير، وعائلة مؤلفة من ثلاثة أشخاص ذبحوا بالسكاكين على يد ميلشيا موالية للنظام في بلدة قلعة الحصن في مدينة تلكلخ بريف حمص يقدر عدد رجال الأعمال السوريين الذين وصلوا مصر منذ بداية الأحداث الاستثنائية في سورية بنحو 30% من أعداد المستثمرين الذين فروا من سورية، والبالغ عددهم حوالي 50 ألف مستثمر، وأقام هؤلاء مشروعات في مصر على رأسها المطاعم والمقاهي وورش الخياطة، وتقدر الاستثمارات السورية داخل مصر بما يتراوح بين 400-500 مليون دولار، وكان مدير هيئة الاستثمار السورية أحمد دياب صرح أن
